#Fueling communities
We’re proud to serve our local communities. We direct our sponsorship and donations to support the communities in which we do business. We contribute to various community initiatives and charities nationwide.
Employee Nominated Charities
As you can imagine we receive significant requests to support charities across the country. While we would love to be in a position to support all, we needed an approach that allowed us to focus on key charities and work with these to make a difference.
In 2017, we introduced our Employee nominated charities. Each year, our employees submit nominations as to who they would like to see Top Oil support as a nominated charity. From there, our annual fundraising kicks off across the country encouraging teams to create support and awareness for each of the charities selected for that year.
We are proud that our Employee nominated charities for 2018 are:
- Irish Autism Action representing the West
- BUMBLEance representing the South
- Cystic Fibrosis Ireland representing the North east
- ALONE representing the East / Dublin
As part of our Corporate Responsibility (CSR), we have a team of employees, our CSR ambassadors, tasked with driving fundraising and awareness for each charity and their region.
Junior Achievement Ireland
We know that education is fundamental to people meeting their potential. To continue to provide our customers with exceptional service , we need a well – educated and diverse workforce. At the same time, we know that our people can inspire young people through sharing their skills and experiences. This is why we first partnered Junior Achievement in 2005 and have continued this partnership ever since.
In 2015, Top Oil and Junior Achievement Ireland celebrated 10 years together. To date 69 Top Oil volunteers have facilitated over 125 programmes and events for over 3,000 Primary and Secondary level students in 58 schools in Carlow , Cavan , Cork , Dublin , Galway, Kilkenny , Mayo , Monaghan , Louth , Roscommon, Sligo . Westmeath and Wicklow. Hundreds of students have also visited Top Oil offices around the country where they were lucky enough to finish their programme with a school to work day. This gives the school children an opportunity to see a real working environment where they can experience the skills they learn first-hand. Our plans are to continue to grow our relationship with Junior Achievement Ireland in the future.
#FuelingCommunities
Top Oil is very involved in supporting our local clubs and our communities. With many of our staff either former or current players in sport, we continue to help, support and develop these clubs through sponsorships, golf classics, fund raising events or sponsorship of teams.
We are very proud of our involvement with these partnerships and will continue to work alongside them in our communities.
