Solid Fuels – Coal

The Tedcastle name has been synonymous with the coal industry since the nineteenth century. Following the founding of the company in the 1800’s, Robert Tedcastle began importing and distributing coal into Dublin. This was many years before our first oil terminal was built, or indeed before oil was used as fuel commercially.

Growth

Since then our solid fuel business has grown considerably, particularly during the past five decades with our sister companies Top Kelly Fuels and Bruce Lindsay Coal, two established wholesale coal suppliers in Ireland and the UK. With eight fuel depot locations in Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and North England, we now import approximately 100,000 tonnes of coal annually from all over the world.
